It's Flutter By Day

The air is full of pollen here and it's giving me allergy and sinus problems. My head feels swollen and ready to pop. : ) But it's a good day, because it's Flutter By Challenge Day!!!! My card is made with the Crimped Envelope Pocket Technique from Split Coast Stampers. The inspiration for my card came from Beth's card in her gallery. This picture shows the crimped pocket and the card that goes in it side by side.

Here is a rather blurred close up of the butterfly. But you can see that the antennae are made of wire that I dyed black with alcohol ink. Unfortunately none of my photos show the shimmer on my butterfly. But as I've said before, stamping is my love, not photograhy. : )

Supplies:
Stamps: Lg. Butterfly - unknown, Tiny butterfly - unknown, Flourishes - Autumn Leaves, Sentiment - Heart and Soul Rubber Stamp Co.
Inks: Adirondack Lettuce, StazOn Olive Green, Studio 2 Silver Black Alcohol Ink
Accessories: Prismacolor Pencils, Chalks, Gel pens, Prima Flowers, Beads, Ribbon, Wire, Fiskars Paper Crimper, SU Round Tab Punch
NEWS FLASH!!!! Heart and Soul Rubber Stamp Co. has just come out with some great new stamps. Hurry on over and see what they have. If you're a cat lover, they have a darling cat and fun sentiments to go with it. There's something for everyone.
Blessings
  • A letter from my mom
  • A phone call from my sister with a special message
  • A flexible schedule
Have a fabuous day!!!
Inky hugs!
Shelly

I love this card - especailly the colors and the lady images on the wings. BTW I've also been enjoying your daily gratitide lists :) I tried doing dailies last year but didn't keep it up :( You are inspiring me to start it up again.
