Another Sneak Peek!

It's time for another sneak peek at the new stamps that will soon be coming out at My Paper Moon.  I'm having so much fun playing with these stamps.  For this project I used the sweet cupid stamp and the Love stamp.  This calendar page fits in a 3 1/2" x 5" clear acrylic frame with a magnet on the back.

Here's  a picture of my grand dog, Caesar, wearing his wiseman costume.  I don't think it put him in the Christmas spirit to wear it. lol  Poor little guy is very shaggy.  He has a date with the groomer this weekend.

• My husband's student's gave their Christmas play last night.  It was so good and had a great message about the true meaning of Christmas.
• Christmas cards and letters from friends and family that I don't hear from often.  It's nice to stay in touch.
• My niece helped me out in a small way last night, but it meant so much to me, because of her thoughtfulness.
• God shows me that He is there for me time and time again in my life.  It makes me think of the song, "Great is Thy Faithfulness".

I'll be back

I'll be away for awhile, but I will be back as soon as I can. I'm having surgery tomorrow. I'm not sure how soon I'll feel up to creating cards and blogging.  I'm not very creative when I'm feeling bad. :)

This was an easy card to make, but I liked how it turned out. It has a much prettier shimmer to it in person. I ran a piece of blue card stock through the Cuttlebug with an embossing folder & trimmed around the embossed piece. Then I used a sponge to highlight the card stock with blue Brilliance ink. Next I add some green Brilliance ink. I added several layers and used my SU Ticket Corner Punch on the last layer. The finishing touch was some Bella Baubles in the four corners.

It has been simply ages since I have remembered to show you my monthly calendar pages made by my friend, Martha. So this month I'm showing you August and..............

July! The July page has glitter in the stars that doesn't show well in the picture. There is a sheet for each month that fits in a magnetic acrylic frame that is approx. 3 1/2" x 5 1/2". I just love this calendar. It's fun to look forward to the surprise of a new handmade page every month.
Martha is so creative. She comes up with all sorts of wonderful themes.

Back at Last

Hello Friends
I hope that there are still a few of you out there reading this after such a long absence on my part. : ) I didn't expect to be away quite so long. The recovery from my neck surgery hasn't gone nearly as well this time. But I'm holding out hope that all will be well in the end.


Seeing it's the beginning of a new month, it's time to show the calendar page for my calendar from Martha. It is shown in the picture below and is perfect for this month that has Valentine's Day in it. Here's a tidbit of trivia for you: My mom was born on Valentine's Day. My grandma said she looked like a little valentine with red hair and a heart shaped face. : )

I have another calendar to show off while I'm on that topic. This one is from my friend, Jacky and it arrived while I was laid up. Jacky is amazing. Every year she makes a new calendar for a
whole bunch of her friends. I know she puts alot of time and TLC into them. I really look forward to mine each year. Thank you very much, Jacky




Blessing in my life:

• Mark had a few hours off today and we had some special time together.
• Sonshine in my heart, despite a nasty day outside.
• It's great to be back on my blog!
• We had a fun family party last night, even though we didn't get the right channel to watch the Superbowl. : )

A French Calendar

This beautiful calendar was made by Becky. The image of the lady is a stamp from Becky's company, My Paper Moon. This calendar will go in my purse It's a two year calendar, which makes it so nice when we come to the end of the year and start setting dates into the next year. Today I had it sitting at home by the computer instead of in my purse with me and I needed it to write an appointment in. I hope I remember to do that later.

I'm finally having my second neck suregery on Thursday. I'm not sure if I'll have time to post tomorrow or not. I have a number of things to do still before Thursday. I can't remember how long it took for me to get back on to the computer after my first neck surgery. I won't be away any longer than I have to. : )

January Monthly Calendar

I am a calendar fanatic! Probably because I have so many doctor appointments to keep track of. I have to have a calendar at any place that I possibly think I might need to look at one. The calendar shown above is made by Martha. It has a magnetic lucite frame to hold the proper page for the month. I have it stuck to my filing cabinet. I especially like the fact that each month I will get a little surprise when I take out the new month's page and see how it is decorated. One of life's simple joys. : )


I pray that the new year is off to a good start for you. Mark went back to work yesterday afternoon, so we are settling back into our normal routine here. We sure did have a nice time together while he was off.
